First attempt Flip-It

Good morning friends, followers and visitors. Thank you and welcome to my new followers Jackie Trinder,  Amanda Curtin and Natalia Smith, lovely to have you join my blog.  Today I am sharing my first attempt at a Flip-It card and as I don't have a Flip- it die, I looked on YouTube for a video on alternative methods and found one which uses a Spellbinders Labels die.  As I don't have one of these either, I used a Spellbinders hexagonal Nesting die instead. So to cut a long story short.. here is the result.......

The backing paper was a freebie from a magazine.
The roses were created using a Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die

I hope you like it.

Thank you for visiting today and if you do leave a comment a big thank you for that too.
Hugs and have a nice day

Pretty Woodland Fairy

Good afternoon friends, followers and fellow bloggers, it's a lovely mild and sunny day here today, in fact I even took my coat off when walking the dogs on the beach this morning, that was brave lol.
I just wanted to share the card I made yesterday for one of my neighbours twin daughters,  I didn't take a photo of the other one, silly me. I love the image on this one and it is another Craftsuprint sheet available here. I hope you like it.

Thank you for visiting my blog and if you do leave any comments, they are always appreciated.

Fashionista

Good morning friends, followers and visitors,  I hope you are all well.  The card I am sharing with you today features another Craftsuprint decoupage image called 'Teen Fashionista Sweet Sandie' and is available here. I printed the sheet on to decoupage paper, cut out all the elements and then decoupaged using foam pads. I then mounted the image on to a peach card blank and added one of my ribbon sculpted dragonflies and some Stickles.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for any comments you wish to leave which are always appreciated.

Flapper

Hello friends, followers and visitors, today's card is one that I made for the Dolly Mixture Challenge over on Docrafts. The theme was sassy, so I thought a flapper girl certainly fits the bill.
The decoupage image is one from Craftsuprint available here. All I added was some pink textured card and an 8"×8" base card as well as a touch of Wink of Stella to the butterflies.
I do hope you like it.
Thank yoh for paying a visit yo my little blog and if you do leave any comments, thank you as they are always appreciated.

Those dragonflies again!

Good morning friends, followers and fellow bloggers, it's lovely and sunny here in Kent again today and slightly milder than it was at the weekend.  Wow that wind had a nasty chill to it.  Today I would like to share the recycled coffee jar I turned into a jar for storing makeup pads.  As I love making the ribbon dragonflies so much, I got to thinking what else could I use them for apart from hair clippies and voila!  They make gorgeous embellishments for almost any project.  With just some die cut labels and a ribbon bow, I think the job is done. What do you think?

This image shows the dragonfly on the lid a bit clearer.

Thank you for hopping by to take a look and if you do leave any comments, I am truly grateful.
Have a super day all.

Servitette/napkin card

Good morning friends and fellow bloggers, I hope you are all well. The weather has certainly changed here since Wednesday, it is so cold, we actually put our heating back on.
Anyway, today I wanted to share a card with you that I made using a serviette/napkin.  I love the canvas like texture it gives and there are some gorgeous designs to choose from.  I also bought some Frozen ones,  so my grandaughters will have these on their birthday cards.
For this card I used:
A4 card folded in half
Serviette/napkin - just one quarter adhered to card stock using a glue stick
Pearlised card and patterned card - both from stash
Wink of Stella - clear
Sentiment from Poundland
I hope you like it. I wanted to add sparkle using my Stamp and Stick Glue pad but it had dried up, so used Wink of Stella instead.

A big thank you to you for visiting my blog and also for any comments you may wish to leave which are always appreciated.   Hugs Lainie xx

Teddy's new look

Good afternoon friends and fellow bloggers, I hope the sun is shining where you are, it is glorious here in Kent.  I am off to London with Mr H this evening to see 'Sunny Afternoon' which is a play based on the Kinks' music. Really looking forward to it, not the travelling though, I hate trains!
I wanted to share with you a couple of photos of the 'before' and 'after' visit to the groomers for Teddy my Shi tzu or Lasa Apso, still don't know which, he is so big. So if anyone can help me here, I'd appreciate it lol. Any way reason for sharing is because he looks like a different dog.

See what I mean?
He looks so gorgeous all fluffy but gets very matted very quickly and hates being brushed. So I had to take drastic action and make the decision to have him close cropped.  So what do you think?
Well I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Thank you for visiting my blog, it's so kind of you.

Cockatiels

Good evening friends and fellow bloggers. I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine today. My husband and I had the unenviable task of clearing out our garage of junk today. I can't believe we hung on to so much rubbish but at least I can now get my car in there.
Anyways, I would like to share a card with you that I have just made for the Stamping/digi  '2 of a kind' Challenge over on docrafts.com.  For this I used backing paper and image from here, which I coloured with Promarkers. I hope you like it.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and if you leave any comments a big thank you for these too.

Good afternoon friends and fellow bloggers. Today's card is one which I would like to enter for the Fab n Funky Challenge 'BINGO'. From the grid I chose the middle vertical line which was:

Digital Image
Flowers
I hope you like it. I have not added a sentiment as I am not sure who I am going to give it to yet.

Thank yoy for visiting and if you do leave any comments they are always appreciated.

Good afternoon friends and fellow bloggers. I would like to so pharmacy card with you that I made for the Butterfly Blog Challenge.  The theme was Music, which I love and with the added bonus of butterflies, I just could not resist. For my card I used:
A4 card folded on half
The background was created using shaving foam and Ink
The manuscript paper was from my stash
The butterflies were cut with a die which came free with a craft magazine
The sentiment was created in Word using Mistral font
I also added a Black newsprint Card Candi.

T is for........

Good morning friends and fellow bloggers, I hope you are all well today.  I still seem to have that awful cold virus hanging around but it doesn't stop me crafting yay!
Today's card is one that I have just made for the A to Z Colour Challenge over on Docrafts. We have reached the letter T, so my card is in Tea Green and Turquoise. I used papers, dies and pearls from my stash, the dragonfly and sentiment dies were magazine cover gifts and the pearls I coloured with a Promarker pen.  I seem to have a bit of a dragonfly theme going on at the moment lol, what with my hair clippies too. Still they are beautifull and make a change from the butterflies I usually include on most projects.
Thank you for visiting my blog and any comments you may wish to leave are always appreciated.   Lainie xx

Dragonfly Hair Clippies

Good 'Friday' afternoon friends and bloggers, I hope you are having a good day whatever you are doing.  Today I am sorry to say that I am sharing yet more hair clippies with you, I am hooked on making them.  YouTube has got a lot to answer for as I keep seeing designs that I really must try.  These dragonfly ones are the fault of Laceybowsboutique, they looked so pretty and are so easy to do too, I just can't stop making them.

This one was made with patterned Grosgrain Ribbon

I chose a more delicate look for this one and used Satin and Organza Ribbon

I used Polka Dot and Stripey Grosgrain Ribbon for this one

 I hope you like them

Thank you for visiting my blog and if you do leave any comments they are always appreciated.
