Another Kanzashi Hair Clippie

Good afternoon, friends , followers and casual visitors....Phew its a hot one today.  While waiting for Mr H to come home from work yesterday evening I watched another youtube tutorial on Kanzashi flowers.  I have just recently purchased some coloured bottle caps and epoxy domes and wanted to use them as flower centres. This one took a lot of cutting, heating and sticking but for a first attempt.....not too shabby. Mr H said he didn't like the image in the centre but I was just trying it out.....anyway who said he had to wear it???? Lol.  The lady who made this on you tube is Alina Bobolin, if you want to take a look. I am hoping to get a few of these made for my craft stall in September.

Thank you kindly for visiting and for any comnents you may wish to leave. Constructive criticism always gratefully received. Hugs til next time Lainie xx

Zinnia Hair Clippie

Good morning to all my lovely friends and followers. It rained here during the night which has watered my garden for me, saves me doing it later lol.
I watched another youtube tutorial yesterday and just had to have a go at.............yes another Kanzashi flower..........sorry 😔. I hope you like it any way 😁.
This one took a while to do and I used 1/2" Satin ribbon, cut in lengths of 2.5 cm x 15,  3 cm x 15, 3.5 cm x 15, 4cm x 15. Each petal was curled using a lighter and then threaded together before being assembled.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you'll come back soon.  I would just like to say that I truly appreciate your very kind comments and if you do wish to follow my blog, then do please let me know so that I can return the favour.
Thank you and hugs.

More hair clippies

Good afternoon from a very tired me today. Late nights do not agree with me although Paloma Faith was awesome, I am feeling the effects of not getting home until after midnight. Gosh I'm getting old!!!
So today I thought I would share a couple more hair clippies which I created to keep myself awake lol. I hope you like them.

This one took some time to put together as I had to create each petal separately out of ribbon. Materials used was hair clip, 4 in wide grosgrain ribbon, thin ribbon to cover hair clip, circle of felt, flat backed pearls and a glue gun.

This one on the other hand was very simple and took minutes to make. All I needed was a hair clip, ribbon,  heart embellishments and a glue gun

Thank you for taking the time to visit and for any comments you may wish to leave.

Dragonfly Hair Clippies

Good 'Friday' afternoon friends and bloggers, I hope you are having a good day whatever you are doing.  Today I am sorry to say that I am sharing yet more hair clippies with you, I am hooked on making them.  YouTube has got a lot to answer for as I keep seeing designs that I really must try.  These dragonfly ones are the fault of Laceybowsboutique, they looked so pretty and are so easy to do too, I just can't stop making them.

This one was made with patterned Grosgrain Ribbon

I chose a more delicate look for this one and used Satin and Organza Ribbon

I used Polka Dot and Stripey Grosgrain Ribbon for this one

 I hope you like them

Thank you for visiting my blog and if you do leave any comments they are always appreciated.

More Hair Clippies

Good morning friends, followers and fellow bloggers, I hope you are all well. I have just spent the past 2 days in bed with a rotten cold, sounds like I am a wimp, I know but my eyes and nose were continually streaming and I ended up with vertigo. I don't know what that was about. So as I am feeling a little better today I thought I would share with you a few more hair clippies that I have recently made. The ideas have all come from YouTube,  so I am not taking any credit for their uniquity but I hope you'll like my interpretation of them.

This Minnie Mouse design was inspired by Mandy Beyeler

These 2 Kanzashi flowers were inspired  by the Flower Art tutorials.

Thank you for visiting and I do appreciate your comments.

Latest Makes

Good morning friend,  followers and callers by, I hope the sun is shining where you are. It actually feels as though spring has arrived and now that my daffodils are beginning to bloom, I have some colour in my gardens at last.
Today I am sharing with you 2 more hair clippies that I've made, both with the help of youtube of course.  The double tuxedo bow one is more fiddly than the flowers would you believe? Anyhow, I hope you like them and are not fed up with seeing them.
I aim to post a tutorial on the shaving foam backgrounds that I have been using on my cards, as some people have never tried it.
Here's a card with one of my backgrounds:

I thought it suited the theme for the challenge which I entered this card for over at Docrafts which was Cottage Garden. What do you think?
Anyway enough of my ramblings.
Just would like to say thank you for visiting my blog and for any comments you may wish to leave.

Tuxedo Bow Hair Clippie

Good afternoon to you all, it's so lovely to see some sunshine today. So why am I shut away in my craft room? To get away from 7 noisy little dogs is why lol. Only 5 are mine, I am minding 2 for friends for a while.
Any way, following the success of my Ballet Slippers Hair Clippie,  I decided to search YouTube for another tutorial and found a fab one on how to make Tuxedo Bows Hair Clippies and as you do, I just had to give it a go. What do you think? The tutorial was by  DIY QUEEN and was really easy to follow, just how I like it. I shall definitely be making more in different colours for my grandaughter and possibly to sell too.

Thank you for dropping by and any comments you leave are really appreciated.

Ballet Slippers

Good evening blog buddies and visitors, I just wanted to share with you the Clippie that I made. It is my first attempt after watching a fab tutorial on YouTube by laceybowsboutique.  The lady doing the tutorial added white tulle to the back of her ballet slippers but I only have some in black and didn't think it would look as good as white.  However I am quite happy with how it turned out, although I must learn to control my glue gun better lol.

Well thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment thank you for that too.  Any criticism or pointers would be appreciated as well.
