Here's what I have been up to lately
Hello friends and followers, it occurred to me that I haven't posted anything on here for quite some time. So I thought I would just give you a brief update of what I have been doing. Well to say that my pet portraits are becoming popular is an understatement. Having attended a few charity events, I have managed to generate a lot of interest in my work. So here are a few photographs:

March brings breezes loud and shrill......
......Stirs the dancing daffodil. This is continuing my theme for my intended calender.
Polychromo pencils on Bristol board smooth white paper.
I found it most challenging as either the tools are not designed for detailed work or I just need more practice ( probably the latter lol)

February brings the rain
To thaw the frozen lakes again
This is the second painting depicting February in the rhyme which continues with my theme of creating a picture which represents each month in the nursery rhyme 'January brings the snow'
This time I used Acrylic paint on canvas.
I hope you like it and will visit my blog again to see each month depicted in art.

January brings the snow
Well I am sure most of us in the UK have seen some snow over the past day or so, so I thought my little watercolour was very apt. My intention is to produce a calender of my artwork based on the nursery rhyme 'January brings the snow' each month will have a painting to depict the rhyme.
I was inspired by a lovely photograph on the Paint my Photo website

I hope you like this painting and the ones to follow. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments box and I will be glad to answer them.

A few more pet portraits
As I haven't posted for a while, I thought I would share a few portraits that have kept me busy since last time. Most of them were commissioned for gifts and I jope you like them.
As you can see there are quite a few and I still have more to do. All my portraits are in pastel on Hahnemule velour paper. I use Sennelier, Rembrandt, Unison pastels and Derwent pastel pencils.
Thank you kindly for visiting today and please feel free to comment.
