Male dancer

Hello friends and fellow bloggers, I hope you are well and the weather is being kind to you.  It's sunny here today, which makes a nice change.  I thought I would share a card I made for The Little Rascal Challenge over on Docrafts. The theme was a male dancing. I found this image on here and just added a pair of ribbon sculptured Ballet Slippers, using the technique used for my  Ballet Slippers Hair Clippie.   I hope you like it. Sorry the slippers don't show up too well in the photo, I think it is a combination of artificial light and black ribbon.

More Hair Clippies

Good morning friends, followers and fellow bloggers, I hope you are all well. I have just spent the past 2 days in bed with a rotten cold, sounds like I am a wimp, I know but my eyes and nose were continually streaming and I ended up with vertigo. I don't know what that was about. So as I am feeling a little better today I thought I would share with you a few more hair clippies that I have recently made. The ideas have all come from YouTube,  so I am not taking any credit for their uniquity but I hope you'll like my interpretation of them.

 This Minnie Mouse design was inspired by Mandy Beyeler

These 2 Kanzashi flowers were inspired  by the Flower Art tutorials.

P is for Patterned Paper

Just wanted to share another card with you that I have just finished, gosh, I'm on a roll tonight lol. This one I would like to enter in to the Butterfly blog challenge http://butterflyspotchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/. The theme is P for Patterned paper and as I had this one stored on my computer I thought it perfect for the challenge.   I added a couple of 3d butterfly stickers and peel off borders to complete my card.

Hello again, I have just finished this card for the Dolly Mixture Challenge over on Docrafts and thought it would be perfect for the Fab n Funky blog challenge Fab n Funky Challenge as well.

I used some free Confetti papers from Quick Cards magazine

the image is  a Sugar Nellie digi stamp - Sophia which I coloured with Promarkers

The flowers were punched out of green and pink scraps from my stash

The lace was from my stash

I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the flowers.

Shaving foam backgrounds

Hello friends, followers and callers by. I have at last managed to get my act together and do a shaving foam tutorial.  It really is so easy and it is great fun, even if a little messy, so wear rubber gloves if you wish but because it's shaving foam it doesn't stain.
So are you ready?
Then here goes.

Step 1

Start by adding some shaving foam to a non stick craft mat or any wipe cleanable surface.

Step 2

Add a few drops of ink in as many colours as you wish - I used Tim Holt Distress ink in Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn but you can use any re-inkers in any colours.

Step 3

Lightly blend the inks with either a wooden skewer, a ruler, cocktail stick, knitting needle or the handle of a paintbrush etc.

Step 4. To create a background

Place a sheet of card or paper (any size) directly on top of the inky  shaving foam.

Step 5

Lift off, dragging slightly towards you as you do and then either leave to dry for a slightly textured result or as I have done here, scrape off the ink with a ruler.

 This can now be cut to size, stamped on, die cut or used in any way you wish.

 Step 6 For a Stencilled Background

Tape your chosen stencil to a piece of card stock

Step 7

Spread inky shaving foam all over the stencil

Step 8

Scrape off the foam with a ruler. Remove the stencil and either leave to dry or as I have done, wipe the excess foam off with a piece of kitchen towel

I must admit, I wish I had left it to dry naturally as the effect was much better but it is always trial and error and sometimes it turns out awesome and other times, awful.

I do hope you give this one a go as you can create some wonderful effects even with just one ink, just don't blend too much.

Good morning friend,  followers and callers by, I hope the sun is shining where you are. It actually feels as though spring has arrived and now that my daffodils are beginning to bloom, I have some colour in my gardens at last.
Today I am sharing with you 2 more hair clippies that I've made, both with the help of youtube of course.  The double tuxedo bow one is more fiddly than the flowers would you believe? Anyhow, I hope you like them and are not fed up with seeing them.
I aim to post a tutorial on the shaving foam backgrounds that I have been using on my cards, as some people have never tried it.

I thought it suited the theme for the challenge which I entered this card for over at Docrafts which was Cottage Garden. What do you think?
