A few projects created with the envelope punch board

Hello friends,  followers and fellow crafters,  I thought I would share with you a few projects that I have recently created using my newest and most favourite new toy......An envelope punch board by We R Memory Keepers.  These are soooo simple to make, just using a 12" × 12" piece of designer series paper or cardstock and with a few embellishments make beautiful gifts.  The ones pictured are special orders that my friend and I were commissioned to make.  The tutorials for these were found on youtube.  I hope you like them.

Thank you for visiting my blog and if you do leave a comment or choise to follow me, then please be sure to let me know so that I can return the favour.

Ferrero Rocher Valentine bouquet

Good morning to you all, today I am sharing another idea I got from YouTube, this time using Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

I attached 3 Ferrero Rocher chocolates to wooden skewers and wound 3 Spellbinders due cut Blossoms around them. I also attached 2 glitter due cut hearts back to back on a wooden skewer and added that to the bouquet.
I then tied the sticks together and wrapped them with  2 sheets of tissue paper. I tied a ribbon round and fastened with a bow.
To finish I decorated a Douwe Egberts coffee jar with vinyl die cut hearts, some sparkly shredded paper and glitter die cut hearts.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you like this project xx

Mother's day cross stitched cards

Good afternoon friends, followers and visitors, today I am sharing 2 more Mother's day cards with you. The beautiful cross stitch by my friend Claire really does add a certain charm to them.
This design really lent itself to being placed on an easel card with a de cut pot..

I made a version of this card at my local craft workshop and adapted it to suit the image. The front flap lifts up........

To reveal the whole rose

Inside stamped and watercoloured.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you like these designs.

Chocolate bouquet

Good morning friends, followers and visitors to my blog, I hope you are well. So the Christmas decorations have all been taken down now, the house looks empty but so much lighter but we still have reminders of the season lurking around in the form of uneaten chocolates. So what better way to use them up apart from eating them than to turn them into a chocolate bouquet as a gift for someone else? Actually it was my cross stitching friend that suggested we made these to sell on our website and as neither of us had ever made one, I searched good old youtube for a tutorial and found this one: http://dawnsinspirations.com/?s=Chocolate+bouquet and this is how mine turned out
So having made one, I shall now have to purchase more chocolates to make more bouquets and my friend is going to do some cross stitching for me to turn into little gift cards to go with them.

First drawing of 2016

Good afternoon to you all.  As it's been a miserable and murky day today weather wise I thought I would spend some time being arty. So I had a go at drawing a Goldfinch with coloured pencils.  I used a mix of Prismacolours and Spectrum Noir pencils as I have limited colours in both sets. The image is taken from the Artist Reference Photos page on Facebook, here's the link:

I have decided to turn each piece of artwork into  greetings cards, I hope the recipients will like them.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you have been inspired to get creative.

Trying out new watercolour paints and a couple of pastel paintings

Good morning friends,  followers and visitors,  I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas. I was very lucky to receive a set of 24 tubes of watercolour paints from my husband so just had to try them out. I have always used pans but found that I got a stronger depth of colour with the tubes. So here is my quick little painting which I have turned into a greetings card:

I also painted a couple of pastel pictures which I turned into greetings cards too

This fairy was inspired by one of Linda Ravenscroft's paintings

The ballerina was inspired by The Frugal Crafter's painting
